Homage to the Photobooth

Saturday, January 12, 2008

We all love photobooths! We took our first born's baby pictures at the photobooth in Little Rickies on First Avenue in New York. They had strips of all the famous East Village visitors on their front window! ( Debbie Harry, the Ramones, & the East Village artists Keith Haring and Jean Michel Basquait).
The old school kind seems to have disappeared but digital ones are now making a comeback.....a lot of people are renting photobooths for their weddings.

Photographers are also setting up their "own photobooths" with a curtain backdrop to make it look like an old photobooth.
But we can never reproduce that great smell of dektol reeking off the print as it pops down the slot!

In fact, most of the people hire a photo booth than a photographer cause for them it is convenient to use and it is really enjoyable to spend time on Photo booth.
