Cindy & Mario/Texas Old Town - Jewish Wedding!

the groom's signature hats!

he's thinking -when do I get to hold it!

There were so many wonderful traditions at this beautiful Jewish ceremony.
First off- the  chuppah was made from the Brides Mother's wedding veil and decorated with flowers.
Before the ceremony they had the signing of the ketubah and had custom yarmulkes made with their names and wedding date printed underneath.
The flower girls and ring bearers were her cute nieces and nephews- it was so cute and funny watching the two ring bearers diplomatically share their duties!
Since this Cuban -Jewish couple just moved from Brooklyn to Texas they knew there had to be salsa dancing as well as the dancing of the horah at their reception. The Houston based band Guateque was awesome!
Rosehip Flora- created whimsical displays with hydrangeas, succulents and birds nests for the ceremony, red bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids and continued the red theme at the reception with mason jars filled of posey's and tulips .
The escort cards  were minature pecan pies  that led their guests to their table with turquoised framed vintage alphabet cards.
Thanks to Jeff for taking amazingly  fun photobooth shots-  an instant success with some recognizable  props  from our daughters dress up box! (thanks Thea & Matilda).

you have such a great way of making modern people look so beautifully anachronistic. its a combination of a bunch of different things, light and angle being key i think. you are quite good at it from what i have seen around the blog. do you mind if i ask what your camera settings were predominantly if you used any dslrs at all for this shoot?
keep up the great work, it really is quite wonderful.
