Melissa & Joe's Ladybird Wildflower Wedding!

Wednesday, September 7, 2011

favorite couples and their single friend
Sisters roasting the Groom!

This  fun & colorful wedding was all about Austin! Their tables were labeled with their favorite Austin locations like Mount Bonnell, the Greenbelt, the Broken Spoke and Deep Eddy and the place cards were simple colorful hand written names with small pebbles to hold them in place.

I loved how Verbena worked in succulents and nettles into the floral arrangements. The Groom and Groomsmen all had colorful bow ties and to match the bridemaid's colored dresses. Melissa has 3 really funny sisters who were her bridesmaids and helped her get ready - Her Dad is thankful that she is the youngest and the last one to be married! They also roasted the Groom during the toasts!

Melissa & Joe met in the Peace Corp in Panama so one of their  unique gifts were a set of his & hers
machetes! The gift to their guests- a donations in their honor to the Peace Corps Partnership fund for helping underpriviledged communities with access to clean water and sanitation!

We were honored to be  referred for this wedding from some of our favorite past clients Nicole & Tim and Kristen & Nigel! I can't wait until they all start families and I get to shoot their kids!

Cheers to Melissa & Joe!
